In short
- The service is free and stays free. There is no mandatory subscription.
- Prices are indicative. We collect them from the shops' public online stores and refresh them daily, but the final price is the one at the till.
- Product availability is indicative too. We honestly show how many items are listed, but we cannot see the shelf in real time.
- Food information comes from third parties. With a serious allergy, always check the product packaging.
- You can delete your account at any time, including here on the web.
- Estonian law applies. Disputes are settled in Harju County Court.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover
BiteSmart is provided by BSMP Platforms OÜ, registry code 17537218, Laki 6, 10621 Tallinn, Estonia. These terms apply to the BiteSmart mobile application and the website bitesmart.eu. By using the service you agree to them.
2. What the service does
BiteSmart lets you build a basket, compare its price across stores in your area, choose recipes, plan menus and track your budget and calories. BiteSmart does not sell food and does not process orders. We are not an agent of any store or manufacturer.
3. The service is free
All user facing features are free. If a paid feature is added later, we will announce it in advance and purchases will be processed by Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms.
4. Account
Recipes can be browsed without an account. An account is needed for your profile, shopping lists and syncing between devices. You are responsible for keeping your password safe. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
5. Age limit
The service is intended for users aged 16 and over. Creating an account below that age is not permitted.
6. Prices are indicative
Prices are collected from the stores' public online shops and refreshed daily. A price may be out of date, the store may change it and an item may be out of stock. The final price is the one at the store checkout. BiteSmart is not liable for price differences or missing products and does not compensate any resulting cost.
7. Food information and allergens
Ingredient, allergen and nutrition data come from public databases (including Open Food Facts) and manufacturers. Manufacturers change recipes and data can be out of date. If you have an allergy or intolerance, always check the actual packaging. BiteSmart does not provide medical or nutritional advice and does not replace a doctor or dietitian.
8. Acceptable use
You must not: scrape or load the service in a way that disrupts it; use the data to build a competing service; reverse engineer it; impersonate another person; or use the service for unlawful purposes. We may restrict or close an account that breaches this.
9. Intellectual property
The BiteSmart name, logo, design, texts, illustrations and software belong to BSMP Platforms OÜ. Store and manufacturer trademarks belong to their owners and are used solely to identify products and stores.
10. Third party services
The service displays information from stores' public sources and uses technical service providers. We are not responsible for third party content, availability or terms.
11. Limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is". We do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or complete accuracy of data. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect damage, lost profit or purchasing decisions made on the basis of a price comparison. This clause does not limit your statutory consumer rights.
12. Changes and termination
We may change these terms. We will announce a significant change in the app or by email at least 14 days in advance. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may close an account for a material breach of these terms.
13. Governing law
Estonian law applies. Disputes are settled by negotiation, and failing that by Harju County Court. As a consumer you may also turn to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (ttja.ee) or the EU online dispute resolution platform.
